HappinessPill@lemmy.mlto Privacy@lemmy.ml•A Privacyless Society vs. A Private SocietyEnglish2·8 hours agoWOW, that’s very good, some serious world building, I also think you should write some fiction.
About the logic of it, I can see this happening, but in my opinion not to make everything public is a government advantage, it makes blackmail by intelligence agencies more easily, and also the advantage of having the data becomes exclusive of companies and governments centralized in data centers.
The first thing that would happen if everything was transparent, would be, in my opinion, that people would form groups probably a caste system then giving an hierarchy to the groups, society would become then way more deterministic.
I hope you keep writing.
This is the classical argument that capitalism is the best motivator of development since it is considered natural(selected as dominant till now) and by extension better fit for human nature.
Yet it is destroying itself, meaning he believes human nature will destroy itself, he then go on to say China is Capitalist, more specifically the government, that would assume the role of exploiter, then internally capitalism seem somewhat to be the exploiting structure reinforcing the idea of hierarchy and exploitation that generates more economic value and justify the inequality.
Probably because if it’s working it must mean it is capitalist in someway, they don’t conflate Cuba or another places with Capitalism because they don’t see the countries as economic powers.
The main differences would be that China invest in their workers, and Capitalistic countries don’t, the solution would be invest in the workers, but then he fails to notice that the failure of investing in workers isn’t a miscommunication or mismanagement, but a feature of capitalism itself that deny any handouts or any advantage to the masses to keep it up with the elite.
HappinessPill@lemmy.mlto World News@lemmy.world•‘There were no warning signs’: what happens when your partner falls into the ‘manosphere’?English1·8 hours agoI mean, probably the ones who have an internal locus commit suicide at some point unfortunately. The fluidity of relationships today and people connecting by tech significantly increased the transactional aspect of modern life.
Gender wars are the easiest form of manipulation, you just need to get the extreme cases make a straw-men argument and generalize for both men and women to radicalize new people.
The statement of the main comment seems to be that capitalism is equal to exploitation and hierarchy, communism(or another placeholder) then is equal to end of suffering, exploitation and hierarchy, that’s why he/she sees capitalism as inevitable and communism and other ideologies seems utopic in comparison.
To avoid legal repercussions, probably.

The men in that case might feel inadequacy after leaving the traditional role of breadwinner, which caused cognitive dissonance in his leftist views and make him vulnerable to the propaganda.
HappinessPill@lemmy.mlto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•how do I avoid becoming conformist, lazy and completely incapable of learning something new?English3·1 day agoYou are a person who values efficiency, there are companies that will take advantage of that and make you burnout then fire you if you don’t have protections or do not live in a country that have them.
Some of those people that you noticed also someday wanted to make everything better and efficient, but they can’t, because most companies follow a hierarchy that do not accept changes coming from bellow to the top.
You already noticed that you can become like this, the difference will be your values, ethics and which companies will you work for, some companies can and will make you fall into hierarchy and conformism, unfortunately.
If you are young and have that option maybe search for more flexible jobs where they will accept ideas and try things like startup’s but they are often chaotic and unstable also.
I hope some of it help you, be careful to not burnout think about the long-term also.

At this point run Linux in every device is already a meme.
