Motorcycles I can kind of understand. Some people believe that making their cycle loud makes it more “visible” to other drivers, helping to prevent accidents. I don’t think there’s been any studies to prove this, but I can understand why people buy into it.
Still waiting on an enterprising social network to start detecting photoshopped and AI-generated images, and badging them as such. If AI can generate this slop, surely it can be used to detect it.

Look for stuff from the past. Like have you watched Klute? Or the original Poseidon Adventure? What about old black and white films from the 40’s and 50’s? The back catalogs are where the real gems are.
Reminds me of the comments on the “Pride & Prejudice” post — so many other stories to be told but the entertainment industry just keeps redoing the same ones over and over.

Watching just the first season of Stranger Things was probably the right way to do it. The first season is a complete story, and all the other seasons just feel like Netflix milking its success for $$$.
Other shows where you can watch the first season and stop for similar reasons: Handmaids Tale, Westworld.
The first couple of episodes drag, but it picks up later. You might try the books instead. Or even the audiobooks — the narrator for those does an excellent job.

I didn’t care for Breaking Bad, but I did enjoy “Better Call Saul” up until the last season. 🤷♂️

While it’s entirely possible that some toothpaste brands contain lead, I’ll wait until an independent test laboratory confirms this before I worry about it.
